Together with Ran Zhu he created the web series, “Ran and Jaden” “It follows two starry-eyed yet cynical snowflakes through their tumultuous transition into adulthood, employing dry humour and unapologetic social commentary to make its mark as a damning critique and proud celebration of Generation Y.”
Besides Jaden Curtis (ENSS 2012), other ENSS graduates have been involved; Peter Mieras (ENSS 2012), a camera operator, Sonya Simpson (ENSS 2012) and Alyssa Christman (ENSS 2012) who both did some graphic design work/photo editing for one of their episodes and Katrina Li (ENSS 2014), is acting in one of their episodes.
The first few episodes will be released in the second half of April. Those episodes were made without a budget and with borrowed equipment and volunteer cast/crew, so they've applied for a $30,000 grant from the Independent Production Fund (IPF), in hopes of receiving funding for a second season. http://ipf.ca/
Part of the selection process for the IPF grant is based on the amount of engagement their trailer receives. The trailer has just been released. Let’s encourage these ENSS alumni and view/comment/like their Trailer.
Good luck to cast and crew!
