This year the focus will be “RIDING THE RAILS”.
It’s a two part event.
One part is STORIES and SONGS. The songs are provided by RandR and the Children’s choir “The cabooses”. The stories will come from Pop-Up storytellers, remembering when the train stopped in Town and Dan Buchanan will talk about the history of the Railroad and the impact it had for Brighton. From all accounts it will be an interactive engaging event.
The second part is the OPEN HOUSE DISPLAYS AND HERITAGE TEA at King Edward Park on Saturday. Bring the Family to see the huge MODEL TRAIN DISPLAY and have some Tea with biscuits. Also meet the many organizations that do their part in preserving and enhancing our local Heritage.
This event is a FREE event but donations are appreciated.
My teenage child, who I voluntold to go last year, wants to go this year. Do I need to say more?
