#‎TBT‬ January 12, 1921 from the book of Susan Brose “The history of Brighton Businesses” On January 12, 1921 at 4am a fire destroyed two blocks South of Main Street.

A hotel, a grocery, a bank, a restaurant with pool room, the telegraph and a drugstore were destroyed.
Damaged were the Hardware, another grocery, a Dry Good, a Barber, the Hydro and the Brighton Whitewater co Store.

From a follow up article in February 1921, other businesses showed great camaraderie and sacrificed some of their own spaces to allow the destroyed/damaged businesses to continue to operate.
