Be sure to visit the Codrington Farmers’ Market this Sunday (10-2). There is plenty to buy, see, and do. Produce products are popping up, and there’s lots of asparagus, rhubarb, arugula, and (finally) radishes. The rest of the crew will have their usual abundance of great edibles (and drinkables) - plus plants and flowers - for your enjoyment.
Also this week, the Artisans are making their first appearance this year inside the hall. They all bring original creations and you will enjoy spending time with them. There is no charge for entry to this marketplace, and it takes place during the same hours as the outside event. We are pleased to have the Apple Route Grannies joining the Artisans inside the hall. Be sure to chat with them and learn about their mission.
The Brighton Fire Department is coming on Sunday with a big red truck and lots of information on fire safety. Here’s a chance to take pictures of the kids in the truck. Framing one of those pics would be a great present for an upcoming event (birthday, Christmas).
Little Red Wagon will provide entertainment in the outside shelter. We remember them from last year, and can’t wait to see them again. Enjoy a delicious snack and free coffee, and sit awhile at a picnic table under the canopy.
Don’t forget – the Library branch inside the hall will be open during market hours too
By the way, the magazine Today’s Parent (www.todaysparent.com) has recipes to make with your “farmers’ market haul.” The asparagus fries look wonderful.
