Oh, the enticing tastes of summer at the Codrington Farmers’ Market – Sunday 10-2. There is more produce than ever, thanks to the heat wave. Eric is bringing sweet salad turnips for the first time this year; Glover’s freshly dug small potatoes are just like dessert. Margo is also treating us with an array of ease-living options: Cole Slaw, Greek Pasta and Bean Salads, Gazpacho, and frozen prepared Mini Maple Sausage Rolls and Corn Fritters. And here are some ideas for snacking from Amanda: Gourmet Garlic Dip & Dressing, great for veggies and crackers or as a salad dressing, plus Garlic Scape Pesto, which has so many uses (pasta, rice, meat, garlic bread).
Stock up on sausage and frozen meat, prepared dinners, and freshly baked treats. Take a selfie with a vendor.
There are lots of yummy snacks and beverages, the Library Branch is open, and you’ll enjoy listening to the talented Tina Nodwell. See you soon.
