There are sooooo many reasons to visit the Codrington Farmers’ Market this Sunday (10 – 2). Let’s start with Dorothy’s taste of the week: she is featuring garlic and handing out samples of a Garlic Herb Cheese Spread. Easy to make, delicious to taste, and all ingredients are available from the vendors. You could then stop at Empire Cider to check out their new offering: Señor Cuervo is Empire Cider’s take on a summer Sangria. This citrus blend is lightly infused with tequila and is served best with a lime (yum!). Samples will be offered.
There are more and more vegetables available each week, including healthy choices like kale, carrots, beans, mushrooms, a variety of potatoes, and more. The bakers will make sure your sweetness is enhanced – as will Skoba’s Honey and Patterson’s Maple products. The snack providers will have their usual great selections. And, back by popular demand is Peameal on a Bun from the Warkworth Bakery. Pick up some gorgeous flowers, plants, and refashioned clothing too. This is one-stop shopping at its finest!
While you are mingling and tasting, Cheryl Casselman will be serenading with her lovely voice and great songs.
Take time to chat with the friendly vendors, say hello to the other customers you know, and pat yourself on the back for supporting local commerce. There would be no Codrington Farmers’ Market without you.
