Here what’s happening at the Codrington Farmers’ Market.
A great time of year for Farmers’ Markets is when the seasons overlap. Right now there are still many “summer” goodies like corn, lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, peppers and much more, but you can also find autumn offerings like apples, late potatoes, carrots, garlic, beets, cabbage, cauliflower – well, too many to list. Please visit the Codrington Farmers’ Market on Sunday (10 – 2) to see for yourself.
Special visitors this week will be Annie with her many varieties of wood-fired bread (better come early), Anne who brings her delicious crabapple juice, songbird Cheryl Casselman, a crowd favourite, and The Firelights, who make belly-dancing look easy and fun. Once again, the local 4H Club is raising money by selling slushies, and they will be a popular item on a hot day.
The rest of the usual suspects will be there too, making your shopping experience personal and pleasant. There won’t be too many more of these gorgeous, bountiful Sundays, so please take advantage. We look forward to seeing and serving you.
