The children were teamed up with an adult upon entering the store. After they chose their gifts, they went to the wrapping table, were the gifts were wrapped while they wrote their names on a card and/or labels. Then it was time to pay for their items. The children seemed to enjoy being able to pay for their items themselves. After shopping was done, they had a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus while having a hot Cocoa and cookies.
I still haven't made up my mind who had the most fun today, the children or the adults? What I do think, is that no child will ever forget this experience!
Brighton Clothing Depot has at the moment approximately 74 active volunteers. They help out with sorting, collecting and managing the numerous facets of operating the store and charity.
