Brighton can be proud of their Cadets, their Cadet leaders and Cadet volunteers.
The Legion donated $2,972.95 and a private citizen donated $1,000 for their trip to Vimy next year.
BRIGHTON CADETS TO VIMY 2017 with your help...
Message from Ron Waddling (picture credit Sherry Burkitt)
We have an opportunity to help those who help us. The Brighton Cadets have 2016 calendars available now...perfect for stocking stuffers or for a thoughtful gift to holiday hostesses or for your favourite uncle...or because you want to help the cadets catch a wish to visit Vimy in 2017.
-Ten bucks for calendar photos of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion as young soldiers in 1944, in Germany and Normandy... along with pictures of some of the veterans today with the cadets. It is a "then and now" theme...one of a kind publication. $10.
FUNDS RAISED GO TOWARDS THE CADETS’ TRIP TO VIMY.
If you live in Brighton area...a cadet may even deliver the calendar to your door. That’s how much the trip means to the cadets.
See the poster on details for ordering your calendar now.
First day of Work Weekend at MJM, saw over 30 volunteers cleaning, weeding, fixing, talking, laughing & learning! Tomorrow is another day and because of the sun, we will do some painting!
