On the business front not only should a McDonald’s, a Shell Station and a Tim Hortons be up and running by the end of 2016, a Pasta Bar and a Bistro & Pub are also in the works.
Recently locals and visitors are able to enjoy locally brewed craft beer at the Presqu’ile Craft Brewery. Antique Emporium partnered with other businesses and the old cannery is once again a place to shop. These are only a few of the new businesses that lately opened or will open in the near future.
Also council made changes to the zoning of the Industrial Park to make it more attractive for companies interested to settle in Brighton.
If businesses want to expand/start up here, it demonstrates Brighton’s status as a healthy and growing community.
On the other hand some other established businesses are looking for new owners, such as Taft’s, Dougalls on the Bay, Lola’s and Convenience Store Variety (Smithfield).
There are also some empty commercial places waiting for entrepreneurs to set up their business.
I'm looking forward to see what is coming up next for our growing Community!
