This Sunday is the last outdoor Codrington Farmers’ Market this season. But before you burst into tears, please note that there will be two indoor (warm) Christmas markets on November 19 and 26.
Now is a good time to stock up on garlic, squash, potatoes, etc. It’s time to make comfort food for those cold evenings ahead. You’ll be pleased to know that Empire Cider goes well with those meals! And what could be better than honey or maple syrup in your cup of tea or coffee.
Looking for an evening snack? How about some treats from our bakers, or home-made granola bars from Rainbow Terrace. Fill your freezer with beef, bison, pork, sausage, chicken, and ready-made meals, and you’re all set to hunker down for the winter – oh, make that the long autumn. There’s lots of time ahead for winter.
Margo and Kevin will be in their usual outdoor spot serving up maple sausage on naan bread, along with their wonderful frozen prepared savouries and soups. There’s a new offering this week: sausage lasagna. You will find free coffee in the covered shelter.
Just to make your Christmas shopping easier, there will be an Artisan Market going on inside the hall at the same time. You will find quality crafts, jewelry, paintings, hand-knit Icelandic sweaters and mittens, and much more.
There is no charge for this event and it takes place during market hours: 10 am – 2 pm.
We have a great new (for us) musical duo entertaining – Little Red Wagon. Please come out and generate some heat for them: dance, clap, stomp your feet.
The vendors really would appreciate seeing you one more time outside. Bundle up and come on out to Codrington.
