Lighthouse Books will be celebrating Canadian Independent Bookstore Day (in previous years known as Authors for Indies) by hosting several award winning authors as well as some of our local writers. There will be refreshments on hand and prizes to be won.
Our author line up includes:
CATHY MARIE BUCHANAN, the New York Times bestselling author of “The Painted Girls” and “The Day the Falls Stood Still”;
BRAD SMITH, author of several novels, including the just released “The Return of Kid Cooper”;
SUSANNA KEARSELY, author of, among other titles, “Desperate Fortune” and freshly released “Bellewether” and finally
TREVOR COLE who has been nominated for several Governor General awards and has won the Leacock award. His non-fiction book, newly in paperback, is “Whisky King” which has special interest to anyone who is curious about our area’s infamous involvement in bootlegging.
All authors are visiting between 11:30 and 2:30 on the 28th.
