Lori Dunn, owner of 78 on Main restaurant and Charito Vataga ‘Kim’ Helgason, with help of the community are planning to create this week a Community Mural. It will be 26.5 x 14 feet in size. When finished it will be screwed to the wall of the beer store facing 78 on main bistro pub.
This mural will represent the Brighton community and historical heritage.
On June 13, 14, 15, 16 ALL Brightonians, young and old, can come and paint in details and help finish the mural at the Curling Club. After it's finished the mural panels will get coated with clear varnish to protect the artwork. Once ready the Brighton Fire Department will help put up the mural. The official opening of the mural (with a ribbon cutting and dignitaries) will be on Canada Day.
